Promoting Parental & Community Involvement
Vamco Academy was founded by Dr. Washington B. Collado, an experienced educator, consultant, trainer, and advocate for parental and community involvement in education. His book, Padres, no olviden su tarea, which serves as a guide to effective parent involvement in their children’s education, sold out its first edition.
Subsequent books included Parents, Don’t Forget Your Homework (2010), an english translation of his first book, and Liderazgo y Escualas Efectivas (2014), which dissects how we can achieve educational institutions that function at a high level and with synergy through effective leadership and support.

Our Story
As we’ve progressed, we have extended our offerings to provide an array of services in educational leadership, curricular development, best-practice workshops for teachers and administrators, and educational systems. Vamco Education has published over 100 articles in the New York, New Jersey, and Miami areas.
Dr. Collado is one of the lead trainers for new administrators within Broward County Public Schools, Florida, and has also collaborated with a team of educators in the Dominican Republic conducting staff development and building leadership capabilities.
In this facet, Vamco Education’s renewed vision is to lead the way in the integration of education through technology, primarily in the Dominican Republic, through the creation of Vamco Academy.
